A clear, ready-to-use surface coating, developed to protect and preserve surfaces in a variety of different environments Siloxycoat is a polysilazane. This means that it is a form of liquid glass that becomes a ceramic coating when it has fully cured. When applied to a polished or painted surface it bonds to it and provides superior protection against oxidisation, ultraviolet degradation and abrasion. Siloxycoat provides a tough, smooth surface. This stops airborne soils attaching themselves to the surface and thus makes the surface easy to keep clean. See its anti-graffiti properties here Due to the formation of a highly hydrophobic surface, dirt and dust have great difficulty adhering, and therefore can be easily removed, even after a long period without reapplication. The glass-like coating provides scratch resistant properties which sustainably increase the value retention of the finished product. Siloxycoat creates a permanent barrier by chemically binding to the substrate. The solvent-based systems can be applied to the carrier material via spray or dip coating, roll-to-roll application or spin coating as well as wipe-on for smaller areas. Siloxycoat is dry-to-touch after 30 minutes. Full performance is achieved after 7 days cure at room temperature. Alternately, faster curing for full performance can be achieved in 1-2 hours at 130°C. |
